THE TORCH DIFFERENCE
CLASSICAL ETHOS
Most leadership books are written for those inside the cave - they operate on a completely different set of references. The Torch is designed by classically educated men, for classically educated men. It speaks in your own language, and teaches you how to speak to the prisoners in theirs.
CIA TACTICS
THE TORCH is built on the Neuro-Cognitive Intelligence model developed by Chase Hughes: the man who wrote the CIA’s book on reading people.
A CAREER HEAD START YOU CAN’T BUY ANYWHERE ELSE
Once you know the politics of the cave AND the Truth from outside, you become an unstoppable leader: able to earn trust fast, step into the room and move it, and rise to positions of responsibility while your peers are still waiting to be noticed.
THE TORCH MODEL
SELF-MASTERY
You'll learn to reclaim your time, build habits that stick, and rewrite the emotional scripts that have been running your life. Every client discovers the voice that rationalizes delay, avoids discomfort, and reaches for distraction. You'll learn to identify it, understand it, and keep it from costing you.
OBSERVATION
You'll learn to observe the unique combination of needs and motivations that drives every single person you'll ever interact with — to see what's going on beneath the surface of a conversation, and how to move it in a direction that serves everyone, including you.
REAL-WORLD PRACTICE
You'll learn what makes someone influential: not volume, not aggression, not credentials — but calm, clarity, and the ability to make people feel understood. In the final units, you'll practice in real conversational scenarios: directing groups without announcing yourself, navigating resistance, and holding your frame when others try to take it.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR
I’m Tobin Duby.
I struggled with the “cave language barrier” for 20 years. I can teach it to you in 1. I developed this program, based on Classical ideas, Behavioral Profiling, and scores of leadership books, because there is simply nothing else like it.
I’ve lived my life in the Classical world, graduating from Patrick Henry College in 2009, working at Classical Conversations for 10 years and teaching at Wilson Hill Academy for 5, with multi-year attendance at CiRCE Institute and the Society for Classical Learning,.
